Why do we need x-rays?

X-rays are images that allow your caregivers to see what's happening inside the body. It allows them to diagnose you better, see if any bones are broken and get a better read. Our state of the art digital imaging allows the images to be captured on x-ray sensors. It saves time, allows it to be shared digitally with you and your other caregivers, and easily enhanced and zoomed in to confirm diagnosis.

When is an x-ray necessary?

X-rays are often used for fractures or other chest or abdominal conditions. For instance, they can even diagnose pneumonia, or help determine if a child has swallowed something that he or she shouldn’t have.

What are X-ray Overreads?

Every X-ray taken at Prognify Urgent Care is sent to a board-certified radiologist to confirm the findings. This process of consulting with a radiologist to confirm the diagnosis is called an “overread”.

Why do we need X-ray Overreads?
